Big Creek Lodge burning in October 2008. Hunters, ATV'ers, pilots, fishermen and other recreationists mourned the loss of this special place.  The fire took out the lodge including bunkhouse and a cabin just to the left.  In the right photo, the old store/post office (with mountain bikes hanging) is the one building that survived the fire.  Not pictured is a duplex cabin, and a historic tack shed which still stand today.  The duplex will be available for rental in the future.

Special thanks to Walt Smith of Arnold Aviation for these photos.
